Seymour still a GO for today

Seymour – Sunday June 29 – 9 AM- It looks like the weather may co-operate today as the Seymour Speedway readies for the second leg of the Summer Holiday Classic Series to be contested tonight on the 1/3 mile banked clay oval.

Racing starts at 5:30 PM…SHARP!!!

The event, sponsored by Frank’s Place, will be highlighted by a 30 lap WDLMA Late Model feature along with a full program featuring our five weekly divisions.

The Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars, Turbo Blue Street Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods and 4 Cylinders will all compete for additional prize money and the night will be topped off with the bi-weekly appearance of the Spectator Eliminators.

The pit gates open at 3 PM

The weekly divisions will use normal registration and line up procedures and the late models will draw/re-draw. Cut off for both is 4:30.

Pit fees are $30.00 for all weekly division drivers and $75 for WDLMA. All other pit admissions are $23 for members and $30 for non-members.

The grandstand opens at 4 PM

Admission is:

Adults $16.00

Students 13-18 and Seniors 55+ $11.00

Kids 12 and under FREE with paid adult.

The running order for tonight will be:

Coors Light IMCA Stock Cars

IMCA Sport Mods

WDLMA Late Models

Turbo Blue Street Stocks

Budweiser IMCA Modifieds

4 Cylinders

Spectator Eliminators

Nick Anvelink bested a 24 car WDLMA Late Model field at the Memorial Day event and has been strong in the area this season, so he should be a threat to the competition tonight. Three, four and five wide racing has been the norm for the five weekly divisions and the Spectators are always unpredictable.

Racing action, as always, starts at 5:30 PM…SHARP!!
