Mother Nature too Tough to Beat
JIM FALLS, WI (June 22, 2014) – Hungry to race, the Eagle Valley Speedway tried to cheat Mother Nature and get in the show as Budweiser, Country Jam, and Gordy’s Country Market sponsored all six classes with the WISSOTA Modifieds, Super Stocks, Midwest Modifieds, Street Stocks, EVS Pure Stocks, and EVS Hornets. With ominous clouds overhead and rains scattered throughout the surrounding area, the Valley had skirted rainfall throughout the day. The heats were completed and the Super Stocks took to the main stage for their feature. However, the rains could hold off no more and the race was halted with just a few laps completed. Soon, it would be realized Mother Nature would win this time and the races succumbed to the elements.
All six classes will return with double features on Sunday, June 29, 2014 with River Country Coop sponsoring the action. As always, there will be a kid’s bike giveaway sponsored by Kelly Oium Well Drilling of Strum and Kris Oium Asphalt Paving of Eleva. One lucky boy and one lucky girl will win a bike!
The pits open at 4:00 PM with draw cut off at 5:30 PM. The main gates open at 4:30 PM for spectators with Hot Laps beginning at 5:30 PM and racing action at 6:00 PM. General Gate Admission is $13.00 for adults, $10.00 for senior citizens, and ages 10 and under get in free with a paid adult. Pit passes are $25.00.
