CLASH AT THE CREEK FORMAT IS SET

Francis Creek, WI (June 18, 2014)- “We want to host an event that rewards racers for racing,” states promoter Toby Kruse. The 6th annual Clash at the Creek kicks off Tuesday, June 24 with an open practice from 6pm to 9pm and Wednesday at 6pm, let the games begin.
IMCA sanctioned Modified racers will pill draw for their starting spot in one of 10 qualifying Heat races, earning points for their finish as well as passing points. Later, following Stock Car and SportMod Heat Races, the same 10 Modified Heat Races will be run once again, but this time with completely inverted starts. Drivers are again awarded points based on passing and their finish, and at the end of the night the ten drivers with the highest point totals will be locked in to Thursday’s $10,000 to win Clash at the Creek. As an added bonus, Jerovetz Motorsports (jmshocks.com) will be giving each Modified Heat Race winner, all twenty of them, $25 cash throughout the evening. Wednesday’s racing will be capped off with $500 to win Stock Car and SportMod Feature events.

When Thursday’s racing action kicks off at 6pm it will be 10 Last Chance Qualifiers for the Modifieds, lined up based on point totals from the day prior, with only the winner advancing. Following the LCQs, IMCA SportMods and Stock Cars will once again take to the track for a complete show format. As the evening progresses, a “Final Four” race will be held for the Modifieds to determine the final four starting spots for the 2014 Clash at the Creek. No provisionals will be given. “Either race your way in, or sit back and enjoy our steak sandwiches while you watch the show,” laughs owner Scott Ratajczak. And a show it will be! 50 Laps in distance, the Clash at the Creek will be culminating event to an evening that brings not only two more $500 to win Features for the SportMods and Stock Cars, but fireworks as well. “Great friends, great food and some really great racing,” adds Chet Christner, Operations Manager of 141. “What else is there?”
