(Francis Creek)- The Red, White and Blue Series was put together to find out who the best local driver in the IMCA Modified division was. With a 604 Crate Motor to the winner of the series on the line; Tim Czarneski was the man to step up and win round one in a field of 39 cars. A total of 145 cars checked into the pits to compete.

Other feature winners on the evening included Rod Snellenberger(IMCA Stockcars) Kevin Bethke(IMCA Sportmods) Greg Haese(Grand National) Mike Conard(Street Stocks) and Matt Brehmer(4 Cylinders)

Darren Duffy traveled from Urban, IA to join his Wisconsin competitors for night number one of the Red, White, and Blue Series. He found himself the early leader of the IMCA Modified feature. The race saw early cautions put a halt to the race. Duffy jumped up front early and often and put distance on the field through the first five laps. Tim Czarneski found the highline on the track and started to real in Duffy. “I wanted to pass him off of turn 2 when I caught him but he pushed in corners three and four so that’s when I dove inside for the lead.” Czarneski on his race winning pass. Czarneski moved down low as Duffy pushed and moved into the lead on lap eight. Czarneski moved back on top and left everyone to fight behind. With Duffy solidly in second by himself the final half of the race would be a battle with Shawn Kilgore, Benji LaCrosse and Brad Lautenbach. Czarneski would graze the wall with a lap to go but nothing would be hurt as he casted his name to the ballot in the the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational race with his ¾ of a straightaway win. Duffy came to Wisconsin to earn second place money. Kilgore would beat LaCrosse to the line for the third. Lautenbach started in 17th as he flew to the front to finish fifth.

Talladega pack racing could describe to IMCA Stockcar Feature race. After problems on opening night, Dustin Loberger shot out in front to the 22 car starting field. Loberger used to top of the track to gain advantage of the field. Loberger would lead through a series of caution early in the race. John Heinz, Rod Snellenberger, Scott Stewart would and Luke Lemmens would be able to join the leader after a caution would setup an epic final seven laps. Heinz and Snellenberger found momentum on the bottom of the track and give Loberger room on top. With a three wide battle right behind the front duo there was no room for error. Heinz would finally grab the lead down low with three laps to go. Snellenberger stayed right on the tires as Heinz was forced to move up off of turn two. As they came to the white flag Heinz led by a nose. Snellenberger again stayed low as they evened up off of turn two. Three wide racing for third was right behind with five guys having a shot in the final corner. Snellenberger found just enough off of the final corner to edge Heinz by a bumper. Snellenberger stayed perfect on the season as Heinz wound up second. Loberger finished third and picked up an extra $170 in lap leader money. Stewart edged out Lemmens for fourth.

Kevin Bethke entered IMCA Sportmod Feature action Saturday night without ever winning a sanctioned event. One caution and 20 laps later that would all change. In a race where he went unchallenged besides the one restart, Bethke never missed a beat and hit all his marks. Bethke started on the front row and stayed on a rail throughout the race. He would pick up his first career sanctioned win by a near full straightaway. Hunter Parsons would win a race long battle with Brandon Long to win the coveted runner-up position. Mike Dauphinais made a late race charge to finish in the claim area. Brian Bruechert rounded out the top five.

Mike Conard made quick work of the Street Stock division in week two. Conard dove down on the first lap and went from third to first in turn four. Conard would have to be patient through a caution but then would go right back to work. Conard pulled away from the field as the point leaders had to come from deep in the field. Defending champion Paul Diefenthaler made his way to second halfway through the race. Shawn Haydon won his consolation race and started 16th in the feature. He would make his way through the field. Both drivers needed a caution that never flew. Conard would win the main event and score a clean sweep on the evening. Diefenthaler had a comfortable distance on Haydon at the finish line. Josh McDonald ran to a solid fourth with rookie driver Sawyer Haese fifth.

Defending champion Kevin Naidl started on the front row of the Grand National feature and led the opening two circuits. Problems would sideline the leader turning the top spot over to Greg Haese. Haese would have a straightaway lead halfway through the feature. Haese would never relinquish the lead on the way to the win. Chad Ninmer made a strong charge to finish second in the caution free race. Shawn Schmitt won the battle for the third over Nick Strobbe Jr. Brad Lubach finished fifth in his first race of the season at the speedway.

Matt Brehmer and Shaun Bangart sent the fans home happy with a great battle in the 4 Cylinder Feature. Brehmer started seventh and flew to the front with Bangart in tow. Bangart closed the gap in the waning laps and bump drafted Brehmer a few times on the final laps. Brehmer was able to cling to the lead and the win. He is still perfect on the season in feature action. Bangart finished in a close second. Scott Johnson finished third with Adam Broehm and Grant Kastning also also with top five runs.
