Modified Spring Spectacular Scheduled for May 9th at Lafayette County Speedway

Darlington, Wisconsin (April 29, 2014) – Lafayette County Speedway announced their 2nd Annual Modified Spring Spectacular to be held Friday, May 9th. This once-a-year- event welcomes IMCA type Modifieds and IMCA type SportMods to the track racing for $1,000 and $400 to win, respectively.

The night will offer a larger purse than any other night at the track and one of the largest for these classes in the tri-state area this year. Modified drivers, the featured class at Lafayette County Speedway, will battle for the top price of $1,000 and SportMod drivers will try to win the coveted $400 purse.

Support classes for the Modified Spring Spectacular will be the 4 cylinders and NEW to the track this year the Sportsman Trucks, which offer fans and drivers a new alternative to racing at an affordable cost.

The night is sure to bring the best Modified and SportMod drivers from the Midwest to Lafayette County Speedway on May 9th. Four classes of racing for the same weekly, low cost of admission. About Lafayette County Speedway

Lafayette County Speedway, located in Darlington, WI has a 50-year old auto-racing legacy. The slightly banked 3/8ths mile clay track has been in existence since the 50’s. The facility can comfortably seat 3,000 spectators and has pit parking for approximately 90-100 racecars and haulers. Racing continues on Friday nights for 2014 with a full 14- night schedule.
