Fountain City, WI (March 24, 2014) – MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY is excited to release information about the all new “Liquid Nitro 600 Mod Touring Series”! As mentioned in the official series cover letter, “Liquid Nitro, Xcel Chassis have stepped up huge for the 2014 racing season to bring you the Liquid Nitro 600 Mod Touring Series. This will be a 15 race touring series for Xcel 600 mods only. Each event will pay a minimum of $300.00 to win and $60.00 to start for licensed drivers. The 2014 Liquid Nitro 600 Mod Touring Series will entertain racing fans on both sides of the Wisconsin/Iowa border as the 15-race series is scheduled to visit four (4) separate tracks en route to crowning the first ever series champion! The 2014 schedule is comprised of four stops each at:

  • MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY in Fountain City, WI
  • FAYETTE COUNTY SPEEDWAY in West Union, IA
  • UPPER IOWA SPEEDWAY in Decorah, IA

as well as three (3) visits to:

  • CRESCO SPEEDWAY in Cresco, IA

Mississippi Thunder Speedway owner Bob Timm says this is exactly what this division needs, “Mississippi Thunder Speedway was instrumental in introducing the 600 Modifieds to the Upper Midwest from their usual tracks on the east coast of the US; and we’ve been excited for the class ever since their very first race at MTS in 2009.

“We’ve watched the interest and respect increase in the grandstands and the car-counts grow throughout this introductory period, and now there are enough regular drivers, and even more new drivers joining the class, that a promotional series like this is exactly what can help sustain that interest and continue to grow the class and take it to the next level.”

The entire 2014 Liquid Nitro 600 Mod Touring Series schedule is as follows:
