KILGORE PADS POINTS LEAD WITH 141 SPEEDWAY MODIFIED WIN by Joe Verdegan and Chris Janda
(NAVARINO’S KRULL CAPTURES 1ST CAREER SPORTMOD FEATURE)

(Francis Creek, WI) July 21 – New Franken’s Shawn Kilgore charged from his row five starting spot and executed a three wide pass on Two Rivers Kyle Kudick and Sheboygan Falls Randy Markwardt Jr. to capture the caution free modified feature at 141 Speedway in Francis Creek on S & B Trailer Sales night at the races.

Kilgore’s feature win was not the only caution free affair on this Saturday night. Green Bay’s John Heinz also padded his points lead in the stock car class with a caution free victory. Navarino’s Rob Krull led wire-to-wire and wound up winning his first career IMCA northern sportmods feature. Don Sorce Jr. padded his points lead with another victory in the Brian Peterson Builders Grand Nationals.

Manitowoc’s Paul Diefenthaler won his second Tisler Salvage street stock feature of the year, beating out a fast closing Matt Reinke of Reedsville for the win.

Defending track champion Ralph Legois Jr. swept action in the sport four feature.

A total of 123 cars checked in to do battle. The field included 21 modifieds, 12 Brian Peterson Grand Nationals, 24 stock cars, 26 Tisler Salvage street stocks, 23 IMCA northern sportmods and 17 sport fours.
